maclnote ("we", "us") provides a machine learning workspace at maclnote.com. This policy explains what personal data we collect through the website and the service, why, how it is protected, and the rights you have over it. Customer data that you upload to or process in the service is covered separately by our data processing agreement, summarised below.
The contact form is processed by Formspree, a third-party form service, which forwards submissions to us by email and stores a copy in our account. Formspree's privacy policy governs their handling of that data.
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the website and the service, such as cloud hosting, form processing, email delivery and payment processing, under contracts that restrict their use of it; with your organisation's administrators for accounts they manage; and where required by law.
maclnote Cloud is hosted in the EU or the US at the customer's choice on Team plans, and in any supported region or on the customer's own infrastructure on Enterprise. Where personal data moves between jurisdictions we rely on recognised transfer mechanisms such as standard contractual clauses.
Contact enquiries are kept for up to two years after the last correspondence. Account and usage data is kept for the life of the account and deleted or anonymised within 90 days of closure. Customer content is retained according to the retention settings you configure and is deleted on account closure or on request, subject to backups that expire on a fixed schedule.
Personal data is protected by the controls described on our security page, including encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access and audit logging.
Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Use the contact form to make a request; we will respond within the time required by law. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. If your account is managed by your employer, some requests may need to go through them.
The date at the top shows when this policy last changed. Material changes will be announced to account holders by email or in the product.
Privacy questions and requests can be sent through the contact form.
